The Mineral Munchers in the Glittering Grotto won’t go for anything else but Mineral cheese. Now is the time to switch to a Forgotten trap. Hunt them for their loot of Minerals, an important crafting material in many recipes in this region. Depending on your traps it could be beneficial to switch to a Forgotten Type trap now, although Hydro traps will still catch these mice. The Gruyere Grazers can only be attracted with Glowing Gryuere cheese. If you come by any, save them for the Labyrinth. It is recommended to get the Phantasmic Oasis Trap or Rune Shark or School of Sharks before Clockwork Portal Trap and Grand Arcanum Trap. ![]() You’d need hundreds for them to make a big difference. In my experience, Nightshade charms are hardly worth it. Using SB+ is the only way to attract the Nightshade Masquerade mouse, which will help in gathering both more quickly. Your goal is to hunt for Cavern Fungi and Nightshade. When you first enter the Caverns you will face the Fungal Fodder mice in the Cavern Mouth. I would advise against going there first chance you get though. The map piece for the Fungal Cavern can be bought in the Muridae Market. In fact, underneath the mountains there’s a huge system of caverns where, isolated and over millennia, all sorts of strange and wonderful mice have evolved. So it seems t he mountains at the edge of the Sandtail Desert are not as lifeless as we always thought. Recommended Area Progression Plan: Where Should I Go Next? No longer a sanctuary in the midst of a desert, the Phantasmic Oasis Trap entrances and consumes any who dare venture too close.
